Language Boss vs Kahoot!
Kahoot! is a quiz game for any subject: the teacher shows questions on a screen and students answer on their own devices, live in class or as self-paced challenges. Language Boss is for English schools and covers the practice students do between classes: it writes exercises from your textbook pages, has students answer open questions aloud, scores their pronunciation, and keeps one record for teachers and parents. Many schools would use Kahoot! for a quick review game in class; Language Boss does not try to replace that.

When Kahoot! is the better choice
- You want a short, high-energy game in class, with every student answering on a device and a leaderboard on the screen.
- You teach many subjects, not only English.
- You want to start today for free. Kahoot! has a free plan and a large library of quizzes made by other teachers.
- Your teachers need the interface in Simplified Chinese.
When Language Boss is the better choice
- You want homework written from the coursebook your classes use, reviewed by your teachers. How it works.
- Speaking matters: students answer open questions aloud and get pronunciation scored sound by sound, not just a right-or-wrong tap.
- You want each student’s recurring mistakes tracked, with practice aimed at them.
- Parents should get progress reports on LINE. How this works for cram schools.
- You want homework, attendance and the timetable in one system.
Using both
The two overlap less than it seems. A teacher can open a lesson with a Kahoot! review game and set Language Boss homework from the same textbook unit for the week. Language Boss has a vocabulary bingo grid teachers can show on a projector, but it has no live quiz where every student answers on their own device.
