An alternative to Quizlet and Google Classroom for English homework
Many English teachers run homework with Google Classroom for assignments and Quizlet for vocabulary. That combination is free or low-cost, flexible, and works for every subject. Language Boss replaces the English-practice part of it with one system: exercises written from your textbook pages, open answers spoken aloud with pronunciation scored sound by sound, flashcards on a spaced-repetition schedule, and progress reports to parents on LINE. Google Classroom stays the better choice if you teach several subjects, rely on Google Docs and Forms, or need written essays.

When Google Classroom and Quizlet are the better choice
- You teach many subjects and want one place for all assignments.
- Your school already runs Google Workspace for Education, so Classroom costs nothing extra.
- Essay writing is central to your course. Language Boss does not mark written work.
- Teachers want ready-made vocabulary sets from Quizlet’s shared library, or students should join an assignment from a link without logging in.
When Language Boss is the better choice
- You teach English from coursebooks and want homework written from the pages your classes covered, without teachers building it by hand. How it works.
- You want students to speak in their homework and get pronunciation scored, not only read aloud or type.
- You want one record per student: recurring mistakes, practice aimed at them, vocabulary review and attendance together.
- Parents in Taiwan should get progress on LINE rather than by email. How this works for cram schools.
What changes if you switch
Teachers stop building Forms quizzes and Quizlet sets for English homework; they choose textbook pages, review what the system writes, and assign it. Students do homework in the Language Boss app instead of moving between Classroom and Quizlet. If you also teach other subjects, Classroom can stay for those. Live quiz games in class are a separate need; see Language Boss vs Kahoot!.
